![]() This pains me to even put it on the screen. Gordon Van Dyke, the BF1943 boss has said the PC version of BF1943 is being delayed until Q1 2010. This is backed up accordingly at gaming industry news clearinghouse Games Press (in the image above.) The reasons were adding features. You know, the features you were expecting to be in there that for some reason they haven't been working on yet?
This is of course shocking news considering the game was loosely scheduled to hit PC in September 2009. It's been out on consoles since July 8th and it's been widely anticipated for the PC as the BF2 and BF2142 gamers look to move on from their years old versions. DICE is no stranger to screwing up release dates (see BF2 patches or even the BF1943 console launch...let's not forget about Heroes which was more than a year late). but this one is particularly annoying as they are seen as once again screwing over the very segment that made them such players in the FPS space. There is one thing you need to know about DICE - if there is no news, it's bad news and they are holding back until the very latest possible point. Epic fail.
